Liezel Wium's positive attitude, determination and strong mindedness are key factors in her sporting success, she has represented South African Netball since 2000 and has captained both national and provincial teams since 1997.
Born in Worcester, Liezel Wium attended Bloemhof Girls High and Stellenbosch High School where she played first team netball. In 1996 she obtained a National Diploma in Marketing Management from Stellenbosch College and is a certified Pilates instructor.
Liezel is a passionate, dedicated Christian and enjoys any opportunity for adventure from cycling to beach volleyball to learning to surf! She is a self confessed Cappuccino addict and enjoys good movies and red wine.
Her life motto is Live to Leave a legacy which is something she is certainly doing.
